Tips before your wax appointment

Your hair should be the length of a rice grain (1/4 inch long) on the date of your appointment. Refrain from shaving or any other hair removal methods at least 3 weeks before your appointment. Exfoliation softens the bikini area and allows hairs to remove with ease. It is recommended that you exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment. If your pain tolerance is low try taking a pain medication 45 minutes before your appointment( iff your doctor grants your permission to do so). Relax, and don't overthink. Remember the mind controls the body. You want to be as relaxed as possible at your appointment. Take some time to read our reviews on the testimonials tab and on google, to help ease your mind.

As we re-open, we will be taking extra sanitation pre-cautionary measures. Everything in our suite will continue to be disinfected before and after each client. When you come to your appointment please wear a mask and come alone, unless someone else is being serviced that comes with you. If your recieving a facial you don't have to wear your mask during the service. If you are recieving a body treatment, please wear your mask.

How Does a V-Steam Work?

The tissues of the vagina are especially porous and absorbent, and the warmth of the steam works to soften and open them. Often women have painful periods due to accumulations of incompletely flushed menstrual fluids encrusted in the membranes of the uterine wall. So you can imagine if you want to clean something really well, you heat it and steam it. The steam combined with the medicinal herbs provides a very healing and comforting effect. When the herbs are placed in hot water, their medicinal properties, including volatile oils, are released and carried to the surface of your skin and to the inside of the vagina where they are absorbed into the bloodstream, and ultimately into the cervix and uterus.

What Should I expect from a V-Steam?

During the steam you will feel a warm steam as if your bottom half is sitting in a sauna. You will smell the fragrant aroma of the herbal medicine fill the room as your body absorbs the healing medicinal oils. You should leave refreshed and reinvigorated. Some women notice beneficial results with just one treatment, but often a series of treatments is required. Since the herbal steam works to penetrate the uterus and dredge out any old tissues and blood that were not properly expunged during menstruation, you may notice some discharge following the steam or changes in your next cycle. These are normal cleansing reactions and a good sign that your womb is cleansing.

Tips After Your Wax Appointment

EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE! Use a physical, or chemical exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover 48 hours after your wax. Doing so helps to prevent pesky ingrown hairs/bumps. Avoid hot showers, pools, saunas, sex, tight clothing, exercising/sweating. Put down the razor. It may be tempting, but don't do it. Shaving between waxes can leave you with undesirable results. As a consistent waxer, your hair will become softer, finer, and over time sparser.
